OCZ Technology Group, Inc. has announced its latest line of enterprise SSDs, dubbed the Intrepid 3000 series. The enterprise-class SATA III Intrepid 3000 series are equipped with 19nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, and a Marvell 88SS9187 controller housed in a standard 2.5-inch form factor. According to Daryl Lang, senior vice president of Product Management for OCZ, “Our new Intrepid 3000 series leverages in-house firmware with an impressive feature-set to enable customers with unprecedented performance, data management, endurance and reliability, and cost flexibility resulting in an optimal storage environment. Delivering exceptional SSD responsiveness in even the most demanding and compute-intensive applications, the Intrepid 3000 series achieves unsurpassed performance under any workload, regardless of data type and I/O pattern for the complete spectrum of applications, including online archiving, media streaming and web browsing, OLTP, VDI, e-mail and analytics.” The Intrepid 3000 series comes in 100GB, 200GB, 400GB and 800GB capacities and will become available from Q1 2014. Pricing is still unknown at the moment.
