Xiaomi has unveiled several devices recently, mostly premium-grade smartphones like the Mi Note Pro, Red Mi2, and Xiaomi Mi4, but this time it’s an Android media streamer called Mi Box Mini. As the name implies – it is a very tiny device that plugs directly to the wall outlet and connects to a TV using HDMI and streams audio and video files like music and TV shows.

The Xiaomi Mi Box Mini despite of its size is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A7 from MediaTek, paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage. In addition, it also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, DTS 2.0 Audio, Dolby Digital Plus as well as HDMI (1.4a) port with 3D support. The Mi Box Mini runs Android 4.4.2 out of the box and it comes with Bluetooth remote and a standard 1.5m HDMI cable. This set-top box is currently priced at 199 Chinese Yuan or roughly $30 which is really affordable.
