Tablet for kids is now becoming the latest technology for education, that’s why Samsung has created its Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. This android 4.1 tablet is specifically designed for children, featuring a 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution and powered by a dual core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded using microSD. It also sports a dual camera (3MP rear and 1.3MP front), and a 4,000 mAh battery. Hardware specifications are identical to the standard Galaxy Tab 3. The only difference is its design where in the color and software features that come preinstalled on the Kids edition and it will also have rubber bumper around it for protection.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will also have parental controls to ensure that kids don’t stumble upon the wrong web site and a built-in time management feature for parents to manage how long their child can use the tablet. Good thing is that parents and older kids can also use the Tab 3 kids by switching it to its standard android mode because once “kids mode” is activated it will display a different user interface where in apps and games that are only meant for both entertainment and education are shown. It will come pre-loaded with plenty of educational content, games and even books. Samsung will also offer a special case called the Kids Case with its own stand designed for little hands. This case will come with a C Pen, which is a thin tipped stylus for drawing on the tablet. Pre-orders for the Samsung Tab 3 Kids begin this November 1 and it will retail for $229.99 when it arrives on November 10.
