YotaPhone 2 is the world’s dual-display android smartphone announced by a Russian Company via Indiegogo campaign. This latest smartphone features a dual display with 5″ 1080p AMOLED full capacitive touch display on the front with 442ppi and an always-on 4.7″ e-paper display on the back with 235ppi and 16 levels of gray scale. Both displays will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Electronic Paper or eInk display is a kind of screen that utilized very minimal power, thus extending the battery life time of the Yotaphone 10 folds, compared to smartphones with traditional QHD, HD, Full HD display that usually last 8-10 hours a day from mixed usage as it is responsible for fast depletion of your smartphone’s battery FYI.

According to Yota, their new Yota Phone 2 can last up to 100 hours of reading time with a single charge. If you are familiar with Amazon’s popular e-reader known as Kindle, this is the same display it used to conserve battery juice while you browse your email, social media accounts, blogs, etc.
YotaPhone’s e-ink display has some nice advantages. It can be used to display messaging, social media, and call notifications. Remember, it has an always-on display at the back right? you can easily check when a new notification pops out, sounds cool right? If you do not want this feature, you can simply turn off the e-ink notifications using the YotaHub app.
YotaPhone 2 Full Specifications
The YotaPhone 2 will be powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB eMMC. There is also an 8MP rear shooter with auto-focus and dual LED flash as well as 2.1 MP front facing camera to take selfie photos and for video call/chat purpose. In terms of video recording, this smartphone can capture Full HD videos at 30fps.
Other important specifications of this smartphone include wireless charging, LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, A-GPS + GLONASS and microUSB 2.0 with SlimPort. It is also equipped with Accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.
This dual-display eInk powered smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat (Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Upgradable) and uses a non-removable 2500mAh lithium-polymer battery.
In terms of design it has a full black color theme, with rounded edges and it is very thin with only 8.95mm thickness with 144.9 x 69.4mm body size.
YotaPhone 2 will retail for around 555 GBP in the UK, €700 in Europe this year and $650 for Asia and US when arrive next year.
