It seems that luxury watchmakers have already decided in creating their own smartwatches to compete with the growing demand in the market. A few days ago, Swatch just announced its newest watch in the form of a smartwatch called Touch Zero One and today I have found this information that Tag Heuer’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver has recently revealed the company’s first smartwatch called Tag Heuer Carrera Wearable 01.
Tag Heuer is a well-known luxury watchmaker and they have already announced before that they will team up with Google and Intel to develop their first smartwatch.
As of now, the only details that I’ve read regarding the Carrera Wearable 01 specs is that – it will be using Google’s Android Wear OS and it is expected to be the first Android Wear device that will be upgradeable, maybe in terms of hardware as we all know that smartwatches are upgradeable when it comes to their software/firmware.
The Tag Heuer Carrera Wearable 01 is expected to hit the market this coming October or November with a price tag of $1,400.
