Hummingboard Base Model vs Raspberry Pi Model B


If you are reading about Raspberry Pi Mini PC lately, here’s a new computer called the “Hummingboard” which has the same size with the Raspberry Pi but is said to have more processing power compared to the Model B of Raspberry. The base version of Hummingboard is powered by 1GHz ARMv7 processor and can support more operating systems. Other features of the Hummingboard mini PC include mSATA and PCIe mini cards, OpenGL support, up to Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, GPIO pins, LVDS display out, a camera interface, powered USB and IR port to help expand your projects even further.

While the Raspberry Pi model B is equipped with 700MHz ARMv6 processor with Broadcom VideoCore IV, 256 MB Ram, 10/100 Ethernet and HDMI (v1.4), RCA / composite video outputs and has limitation to the operating system it can run. The base version of Hummingboard costs around $45 while the most expensive HummingBoard priced at $100 in the form of the HummingBoard-i2eX.
