Asus has added a latest graphics card to its Republic of Gamers (ROG) series, the Mars 760 graphics card. This card features dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 GPUs and though they’re mid-range GPUs, Asus says the Mars 760 is 14% faster than the GeForce Titan. In terms of specs, both GPUs are clocked at 1006MHz base and 1072MHz Boost GPU clocks, 4GB of GDDR5 memory (2GB per GPU) clocked at 6000MHz and dual 256-bit memory interface. It was also based from the two GK 104 GPUs with 1152 CUDA cores per GPU for a total of 2304.
In terms of cooling technology, the Asus Mars 760 is equipped with a dual-slot DirectCU II cooler with two separate heatsinks (one for each GPU) and is said to be 20% more efficient than comparable cards while being significantly quieter. With an impressive 12-phase DIGI+ VRM, Super Allow Power components and (Nichicon GT-series) Black Metallic Caps, the new ROG Mars 760 will also offer good stability as well as an enhanced OC potential.
Asus has done a great job in terms of aesthetics, the card include soft-touch rubber paint against anodized aluminum, a glowing MARS LED logo you can see through your case windows.
Lastly, It supports SLI, in case you want to run a pair for Quad-SLI configuration, has two dual-link DVI-I outputs, one dual-link DVI-D output, one Mini DisplayPort output and HDMI output via dongle. Unfortunately, ASUS still did not release any details regarding the actual price or the availability date.
On the other hand if you are trying to find a more affordable graphics card for your computer system, then you may wish to inspect this list of low profile GPU which are low-cost however still effective adequate to play video games like DOTA 2, LOL, GTA, Heroes of Newerth and etc.
