According to the latest technology news from Taiwan, Acer has started to mass-produce its upcoming gaming tablet, dubbed as Acer Predator 8. This tablet for gamer is scheduled to be release either Q3 or Q4 of this year.
The Predator 8 was announced at the end of the second quarter of this year at the recently held Computex 2015 and one if its primary feature is its unique design. It has a red colored protruding angular chassis at four corners of the tablet.
In terms of core specifications, this 8-inch tablet will be powered by 14mm Intel Atom X7-Z8700 1.66GHz(2.4GHz Boost Clock) Cherry Trail 64-bit quad-core processor, same processor of the newest hybrid tablet by Microsoft called Surface 3 and will run under Android OS.
The Predator 8 is also equipped with Gen8 Intel HD Graphics GPU that is sure to deliver outstanding gaming performance and exciting gaming experience while using the tablet.
The Acer Predator 8 tablet was first unveiled last June at the Computex 2015 held in Taiwan. In addition, the tablet has also built-in four-speaker system which offers an immersive sound experience for more realistic and exciting gameplay.
Lastly, Acer is also planning to add a dual haptic feedback, similar to ones you find in gamepad or gaming controller. As far as I understand, haptics or haptic feedback is the vibration you could feel when your smartphone is vibrating such as when touching the screen as you type.
So I’m not sure if Acer would add such physical controls, if yes? that will be great as users will have more comfortable gaming experience as playing on just the screen itself is not that easy as I’ve been playing for years on my tablet, especially if you are playing first person shooting games and role playing genre.
Right now, that is the only information available, as I wasn’t able to find any info regarding its RAM, battery capacity and other features. As soon the company released new information regarding this tablet, I’ll be posting an update and will inform you right away.
