Onkyo has announced its latest gadget in a form of a DAC/Headphone Amp for mobile devices called DAC-HA300. This device is a DAC and headphone amplifier that can boost audio quality of either iOS and Android smartphones and also works as an asynchronous USB DAC for your laptop.
In addition, the device is also a standalone music player having 128GB of storage capacity with a MUSES8920 op-amp and a 32-bit/192kHz TI Burr-Brown PCM1795 DAC, which according to Onkyo was chosen for its “low out-of-band noise performance and excellent resistance to jitter.”
The Onkyo DAC-HA300 will be available in black color and will be protected by aluminum casing with volume control knob, bump protectors, and action gain switch. It is said to lasts up to 7 hours of continuous usage using an iPhone and can be recharged via USB or PC. The Onkyo DAC device is expected to hit the market at the end of April with price tag around £499.
