Olympus has refreshed its rugged compact camera line-up by announcing its latest Olympus Stylus Tough TG-860 camera. This new device features a 16MP BSI-CMOS sensor with Ultra Wide-Angle 5x Zoom Lens combined with its TruePic™ VII image processor. The camera also sports Full HD recording capabilities and a new selfie mode that I’m sure lots of potential customers will be attracted to this features as well as an optional UFL-3 Underwater Flash.
The TG-860 Rugged camera is built to withstand extreme conditions as it is capable of diving to greater depths of up to 15m/50ft. Not only waterproof, but it’s also freezeproof to -10C/+14F, shockproof from 2.1m/7ft, and crushproof up to 100kgf/220lbf. That’s really durable digital camera isn’t?
In addition, the TG-860 will also come with WiFi and GPS connectivity and a pair of buttons that can be configured. The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-860 will be available in April 2015 in Black, Orange and White for $279.99 (US Pricing).
