NVIDIA has unveiled its latest graphics card dubbed as the GTX 960 Maxwell Powered card. This newest offering by the company aims performance with an affordable price tag for those rig enthusiasts who want to build their gaming pc with minimum budget.
Nvidia describes the new GTX 960 card as the “most cost effective way of hitting the sweet spot”.
“It’s perfect for multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) gaming,”-“The card intelligently controls its fans so is ultra-power efficient, [running with] 30W of power at 60fps at 1080p, which is very rare.”
In terms of specs, the card features 1024 cuda cores, 64 texture mapping units and 32 raster operation units and can provide consumer a Full HD gaming @ 60fps.
In addition, the new Maxwell powered GTX 960 has a base clock of 1127 MHz with boosts up to 1178MHz and has an effective memory of up to 9.3Gbps. The graphics card need six-pin power connectors and it comes with connectivity ports such as DL-DVI outputs, HDMI 2.0 and display port.
This card is expected to be release in the following months and will be priced at $199 in the US.
