I’m sure you are very excited for the release of Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. A few days ago the company have already launched the device worldwide, again the long wait is over and you can check your local Samsung outlets if they’ve already stock on hand for the particular device.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ will feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD display (2560 x 1440 resolution) and it will be powered by octa core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor paired with Mali-T760MP8 GPU with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop pre-installed.
The Galaxy S6 Edge plus is also equipped with whooping 4GB of RAM (3GB for the lower-end version) and a choice of either 32GB or 64GB non-expandable storage. It is also equipped with a 3000 mAh battery and according to the latest reviews, the device has a good battery life compared to its predecessors.
Other core features of the S6 Edge plus smartphone include 5MP selfie camera and a 16MP rear shooter with Dual-LED flash. In terms of connectivity, it has 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and has a fingerprint sensor which can be used for security purposes specially for the company’s very own digital payment service called Samsung Pay which I’ve shared a few weeks ago.
In terms of pricing, the full retail price of the Galaxy S6 Edge plus starts from $720 for the 32GB variant and goes up to $815 for the 64GB model via Samsung eStore. If you are planning to avail the smartphone from different network providers, here are some of the available plans and pricing from different companies.
T-Mobile has the 32GB S6 Edge Plus for $780 full retail or 18-month leasing plan, $25 per month, or 24-month installments of $32.50.
Verizon has 32GB for $768 and 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge Plus for $864, both off contract.
US Cellular has the 32GB version only which is priced at $770 or two-year contract for $300 with 20-monthly payments of $38.45.
Sprint’s full retail will be $792 for the 32GB and $888 for the 64GB variant or two-year contract for $350 (32GB) or $450 (64GB). There is also available 24 months lease option with $0 down and $30 (32GB) or $35 (64GB) monthly until you pay your balance or opt to upgrade.
In addition to Sprint payment plan, there is an Easy Pay for 2 years with $0 down payment and $33 (32GB) or $37 (64GB) monthly.
The price of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in the Philippines, according to Samsung Mobile Philippines, will be priced at Php 39,990 for the 32GB model and Php 44,990 for the 64GB version.
