Sharp PC-Z1 Netwalk

Sharp has introduced a new and tiny netbook called Sharp PC-Z1 Netwalk. The Sharp PC-Z1 Netwalk netbook is a really small (161.4 x 108.7 x 19.7 – 24.8mm and 409 grams). This latest netbook is equipped with a tiny 5-inch screen with a 1024 × 600 resolution and touch. It has an ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 512 Mbytes of RAM, OS Ubuntu, 4 Gbytes of storage and expandable via MicroSD cards up to 16GB. The device features Wi-Fi 802.11b / g but no 3G SIM card module. The Sharp PC-Z1 will go on sale in Japan on September 25 at a cost 44,800 yen (335 euros).

Upon reading the latest technology news about MSI touchscreen notebook that seems to support Windows 7 touchscreen capabilities. It says that MSI may release a touchscreen netbook with Intel’s next generation Pine Trail Atom platform, and based on what I’ve read MSI have confirmed this statement. According to MSI, the new Intel Atom chipset is planned to be officially launched at CES. However, Intel tells us that it has not nailed down the launch of Pine Trail yet and maintains it will ship products to its customers before the end of the year.

Nokia has announced its latest technology, the Nokia Booklet 3G mini laptop. The specifications of this latest computer is just the same with an ordinary netbook. It has an Atom processor, 10.1″ high-resolution screen, 3 USB ports, Bluetooth, front-facing webcam, an SD card slot, and has an integrated 3G wireless SIM card. The Nokia Booklet 3G weighs about 1.25 kg, and measures 2cm in thickness and housed in an aluminum chassis.The mini-laptop runs under Windows 7 operating system.  Other features include a GPS, Ovi Maps, HDMI output, 12 hour battery life, and WiFi.

Gigabyte has rolled out an updated T028 series convertible touchscreen netbook, the Gigabyte T1028X. They have upgraded the processor to Atom N280 1.66GHz CPU which has a faster FSB and now it has a high-resolution display of 1,366 x 768 and a 6-cell 7650mAh battery equipped that can last for six and a half hours. Other specs remain the same, still it includes 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi (b/g), Bluetooth and an Expresscard/34 slot. It is currently available in Europe from Moblix.hu for a price of €622 because of recession.

Gateway LT2000 netbook

Gateway has released its latest netbook with an Intel processor, after giving AMD the first chance to support the previous brand of their netbook. The LT2000 has a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1,024 x 600. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, and a 160GB 5400RPM hard drive. This laptop has an integrated twin stereo speakers for better audio output, and weighs 2.62 pounds.

The Gateway LT2000 comes in two vibrant colors, the NightSky Black(LT2001u) and Cherry Red(LT2021u) with an engraved Gateway logo and modern silver trim accents.  It is available now in several configurations at a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $299.99.
