There are many people who are not contented on the phone they are using, once they have seen a new released of their favorite mobile manufacturer they can’t refuse not to buy that handset. On the other hand, some mobile users who are contented already with their unit said “as long as they can call and text with their phone, it’s okay”.  That’s why a Dutch ad agency named John Doe has launched “the world’s simplest cell phone” dubbed as John Phone. It’s simple because it has no any connectivity available like internet, GPS, Bluetooth, infrared, nor Wi-Fi. You can’t also install applications or software and most especially you could not text! Only calls are allowed and that’s it.

John Phone was wrapped by white color, and it weighs 95 grams. It only contains numbers and buttons to perform phone calls and its standby time can last three weeks, enough memory to store 10 numbers on speed dial and, crucially, the ability to “make and receive calls anywhere in the world.” John’s Phone can be purchased for only 79.95 Euros, and it’s available in five different colors.

LG Encore smartphone is now available in the market. This latest LG smartphone features a 3-inch touchscreen TFT display and it has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. Nokia has confirmed the released of their latest technology called Nokia 5250 smartphone. This new handset features a 2.8-inch touchscreen with 360 x 640 resolutions, 2 megapixel camera, 51MB of internal memory can be extended up to 16GB using microSD memory card, and will come with Olvi Music Unlimited allowing you to download as long as your memory can hold it. This latest Nokia handset battery is said to last for 18 days on standby mode and seven hours of talk time or 1 whole day of playing music files.

Other features of the Nokia 5250 include social networking support for Facebook, MySpace and more, as well as multiple email accounts, including Ovi Mail, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, etc. But unfortunately there’s no 3G or GPS unlike the Nokia 5230 has and no Wi-Fi like the Nokia 5530. This smartphone has a retail price of $145 when released. This price is before tax or subsidies.

U.S. Cellular said that they will be releasing their latest gadget called BlackBerry Bold 9650 this August 18, 2010. This blackberry mobile features a 2.4-inch display with 480 x 360 resolutions and a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. Other features include full QWERTY keyboard, 512MB ram, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, 3.5mm jack, visual trackpad, GSM/HSDPA, BlackBerry OS 6 ready and EV-DO. The Bold 9650 has an estimated price of $230 with a 2-year contract and a $70 mail-in rebate.

After the successful launched of Samsung Corby, now Samsung has just announced their latest technology called Samsung Champ which is likely to be the successor of Corby. This new handset features a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen QVGA display with 1.3 megapixel camera, TouchWiz UI Lite FM Radio, internal memory of 30 MB that can be expanded up to 8GB with a microSD card, 1000mAh battery that can last for up to 660 hours in standby mode and can give up to 12 hours of talk time. Samsung Champ C3300 also features microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and GSM / GPRS / EDGE connectivity. This new mobile phone has a dimension of 96 x 53.8 x 13 mm and has a SRP of Rs. 17,560 in India.

Verizon Wireless has just released its latest gadget called Samsung Intensity 2, an environmentally friendly mobile handset. This new samsung handset features a QWERTY keyboard for a comfortable social networking experience, 1.3 megapixel camera with night vision technology, Bluetooth and MicroSD card slot. Verizon Samsung Intensity II offers an eco-calculator to track car fuel mileage, efficiency and estimated amount of carbon dioxide emitted. It is said that its exterior came from recycled water bottles, 35 percent of post-consumer material. Verizon Samsung Intensity II is available in two colors: deep gray and metallic blue and can be purchase for retail price of $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.

This latest technology is a joint venture of Giorgio Armani and Samsung. Nokia has recently announced its latest technology called Nokia N8. This new handset has a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. This mobile phone is not just an ordinary phone; it is equipped with a digicam-like powerful 12 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and a Xenon flash. This QWERTY keyboard phone also has four directional navigation buttons. The X5-01 has also the capabilities to tap social networking not only texting and the common usage of mobile phones. The phone itself looks big but actually it only has a dimension of 74.3 x 66.44 x 16.85 mm.
