Asus has announced its latest laptop called ASUS G73JW. This new laptop features a 17.3-inch Full HD display with led backlighting and has a resolution of 19920 x 1080. It is powered by Intel Core i7-740QM processor with (1.73GHz/2.93GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB L3 cache) together with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M with 1.5GB GDDR5 memory and a whooping 8GB DDR3 of memory(4 x 2GB). Other specifications include 500 GB HDD, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Blu-ray DVD super multi drive reader, and an 8-cell battery. The ASUS G73JW runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS and costs around $1,745.

Dell has announced its latest Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition. This new laptop features a laser-etched alloy waves design on the outside and user can chose between Core i3, i5 or i7 processors. MSI has launched a new pair of powerful laptops known as FX700 and the FR700. Both unit features a Core i5 processor, 17.3-inch HD LCD with led  backlight, up to 8GB of DDR3 1066 MHz, DVD super multi, 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0, HD webcam(30 fps@720p), 6 Cell Li-ion battery, weighs 2.8kg with battery and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. The MSI FX700 uses nVidia GeForce GT 425M for its graphics card with 1GB GDDR3 of display memory for high performance, while Intel HD graphics for the FR700. Dell has introduced its latest laptop called Inspiron M501R. The Inspiron M501R has a 15.6 inch display and its powered by AMD Phenom II X4 N930 Quad Core CPU. Other core features include 4GB RAM(can be extended up to 8GB DDR3), 500GB HDD, ATI Mobility Radeon HD550 graphics card. Dell Inspiron M501R is also equipped with 2 speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth,3 USB ports, 1.3 megapixel webcam, 7 in 1 optional media card reader,VGA and HDMI outputs, 6-cells battery, full-size keyboard w/ numpad and weighs 5.83 pounds. The M501R runs under Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system and it’s available in different colors: obidian black, peacock blue, lotus pink, and tomato red. The suggested retail price for this Dell laptop starts at $749.99.

Acer has said to be working on its upcoming technology which is a dual screen laptop powered by a 2.67GHz Intel Core i5 processor more likely a Core i5-580M model. The said dual screen laptop has two 15-inch multi-touch displays (the lower screen can also display a virtual keyboard and trackpad). In my opinion using this laptop, typing was made easier like a touchscreen mobile phone, though you will still commit some typo errors especially if you are in a hurry.  The above image seems to run Microsoft Windows 7. As of now there are no words on pricing, and whether if it will be released in the market or not.

Acer has announced its latest aspire series laptop which is powered by Intel Core-i7 processor dubbed as ACER Aspire Ethos 8943G. This laptop features a 16 GB DDR3 memory, 2 hard disk drives including 1.2TB and 640GB, ATI radeon 5850, and a large display of 18.4” super-TFT with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels. The Ethos 8943G Acer laptop has a unique brushed-metal lid design and has a contrasting palm rest and black touchpad . Other features include 5 USB ports, Wi-Fi, Firewire, Blu-Ray Drive and weighs 4KG. This Acer series runs Windows 7 home premium and has an estimated price of £2,000.

Acer has recently announced its newest Ferrari-design laptop called Ferrari 5000. This computer features a 15.4-inch display and powered by a dual-core AMD Turion X2 processor with (AMD PowerNow!™ and HyperTransport™ technology;1MB L2 Cache; chipset ATI Xpress 1150), but this version of the Turion X2 uses the new 638-pin Socket S1 which allows dual-channel, so in this case fewer pins means better memory access. It is also equipped with ATI Radeon Mobility X1600 graphics card which includes 256MB of dedicated DDR3 memory, 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 memory (up to 4GB), and 160 GB Serial ATA hard disk drive.
