Motorola just got its latest android 2.1 smartphone with the name of Motorola Milestone XT720 which is now available in the UK. It is powered by ARM Cortex-A8 720MHz processor ,  a 3.7” capacitive touchscreen display, 8 MP camera with autofocus and Xenon flash that can capture 3264 x 2448 resolution pictures, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g,  512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, 150 MB internal storage, and can use microSD for extended memory up to 32 GB. You can transfer your files through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, and can last up to Up to 320 h (2G) / Up to 320 h (3G) using a Li-Po 1390 mAh battery.

T-Mobile and Motorola has officially announced their latest Motorola Android 2.1 handset called CHARM. This new technology for this 2010 features 2.8″ TFT touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass, 3 Megapixel fixed focus camera with digital zoom, Android 2.1 with Motoblur and Flash Lite browsing, accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensors.

Other features include Bluetooth 2.0 + ERD, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), and GPS connectivity. It has a storage capacity of up to 32 GB micro-SD card which can plan and capture video at 24 fps (supported playback codecs: AAC, H.264, MP3, MPEG-4, WMA9, ACC+ Enhanced, WMV v9, AMR NB, AAC+). Its dimensions are 67.2 x 98.4 x 11.4 mm and weigh 110 grams and have support for Exchange, Gmail, IMAP, and POP3 email. Regarding pricing and release date, there are no words as of now.

Motorola has unveiled its latest technology dubbed as Droid X handset. This new handheld device features an 8-megapixel camera with 4.3-inch touch screen display with a resolution of 854×480 pixel. Other core specifications of Droid X includes 1 Ghz TI OMAP3630 45nm processor, auto focus and dual LED flash on its 8 megapixel camera, Swype keyboard, 8 GB internal storage that can be extended via micro SD card, and has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. One of the latest technology of this handset is it’s built in Wi-Fi mobile hotspot function. Droid X is using Android 2.1, but it is said that it will be upgrade into 2.2 and will have Adobe flash player 10.1 updates. For all Motorola fans, expect this android smart phone this July 15^th with a retail price of almost $200 with a 2 year contract included.

Sony Ericson has announced its latest android phone dubbed as Xperia X8. This latest technology features a 3-inch touch screen display with a resolution of 320 x 480. The X8 is powered by a 600 Mhz processor that will handle execution of applications easily. Other core specifications includes 3.2 megapixel camera, 2 GB SD card that can be extended up to 16 GB, GSM/GPRS/AGPS/EDGE/BlueTooth/Wi-Fi connectivity. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 will be released in 3rd quarter of 2010 with a retail price of $318. It is available in White, Dark Blue/White, Aqua Blue/White, Pink/White, Silver/White colors. The company also mentioned that other Xperia Android phones will receive Android 2.1 update in Q3.

Yesterday I’ve just posted one of Acer’s latest android phone the Ferrari-style Acer Liquid E, and today I’ll be posting one of their new technology again called Acer beTouch E130 smartphone.  This handset is also android phone but sad to say it’s not 2.1 rather utilizes 1.6 android OS.  Its features include 2.6 inch QVGA touchscreen display,  and a blackberry-style QWERTY keyboard. This Acer android phone is powered by a 416MHz ST-Ericsson CPU, 256MB of RAM, and 512MB of ROM. In terms of connectivity it can connect through 3G network if there’s no Wi-fi available. As of now there are no pricing information for this handset.

Acer has just announced its latest Android 2.1 handset called Liquid E. This handheld device is a smartphone which has a special edition fiery red design from Ferrari. As you can see in the internet there are Acer Ferrari branded laptops and now they have Ferrari Android 2.1 handsets too. The Liquid E has a 3.5 inch touch screen display and encased with Ferrari’s signature color crimson red with a magnificent “Scuderia Ferrari” shield. Other core features of the Acer Android phone is its 5 megapixel camera with autofocus technology, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity, and its powerful 768 MHz Snapdragon Processor. This handset is expected to be released this coming August but no pricing information has been released.

LG has introduced its latest QWERTY Smartphone called as Ally which runs with Android 2.1 OS.  LG’s latest QWERTY smartphone will be launching on May 20, 2010 and it has been said that the Ally has been featured in an Iron Man 2-themed TV commercial.  Aside from side to side QWERTY keypad Ally also features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, WiFi, Bluetooth, Google Map Navigation applications, and microSD expansion card slot. But apparently, this is the only information I can give you. There’s no information yet about the pricing and the availability of LG Ally QWERTY Smartphone.

LG Electronics has announced the launch of their Android-powered smartphone, dubbed as LG Optimus  LG GT540,this easy and convenient to use latest handset offers an optimal environment for first-time smartphone users. Tongfang, a Chinese-based company has been starting to ship their latest Mobile Internet Device (MID) known as the Android Q5 in China. This said MID has a dimension of 120mm x 80.7mm x 9.9mm and its weight is 209g. This newest Chinese device has the following features: a touchscreen display capacity of  4.8-inch 800 x 480, a storage capacity of 4GB, a processor of 866MHz RK2808, a memory of 128 MB, a music/video player, email support, a web browser, a 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3.55mm headset jack, a battery of a 2200mAh which can support video playback for 7 hours or internet surfing and 89 hours of standby time, is pre-load with Android OS and it comes with 720p codec support. You can now buy the Android Q5 in China via Amazon.com and it cost 1, 999 Yuan approximately $293.

Samsung has officially introduced its latest technology, the new Samsung Galaxy S. This latest Android Smartphone was designed with a stunning super AMOLED display that has a 4-inch WVGA screen and boast with a DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) certified Wi-Fi for media streaming. It has an internal storage capacity of 8GB or 16GB of internal and an extendable microSD card slot for more storage capacity. This latest Smartphone also features a five megapixel camera capable of HD (720p) video recording that supports AVI, FLV, and even MKV video formats. For its speed, this latest technology is powered by a 1GHz processor for better multitasking, browsing, as well as graphics and video handling. Furthermore, it was equipped with the mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology that is used to boosts sharper and crisper viewing experience for photos, videos, and e-books. It will be available worldwide this year. They will soon announce its release dates and its price.
