ASUS just unveiled a new model of its PadFone, the PadFone Infinity. Like other PadFones, this is a device that slips into a tablet-like dock, allowing you to make use of a bigger screen. The latest Padfone Infinity has a 5-inch 1920×1080 (441 ppi) display that can be docked into its 10.1-inch tablet shell. This device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 64GB of built-in storage space, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing one, runs android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a 2,400 mAh battery. The tablet shell has a 10.1-inch full HD screen, 1-megapixel front-facing camera, and a huge 5,000 mAh battery.

This latest technology from Asus is now available for pre-ordering for users in Taiwan. The phone-and-dock combo will cost £799 / €999 when it goes on sale in Europe this April. You’ll also have your choice of colors, we hear: gray, gold and hot pink.
