Apple has finally upgraded its MacBook with much more powerful specs. The processor jumps from 2.13GHz to 2.26 GHz, the HDD from 160GB to 250GB, while the 2GB of DDR2 RAM has been replaced by the latest technology in memory module, the more faster DDR3 memory. Visible changes include a new rubber bottom, glass multitouch trackpad, LED backlighting to go with its 13.3-inch display and a 7-hour built-in battery.
While the MacBook Pro computers have a unibody aluminum enclosure, the new standard MacBook features a unibody polycarbonate enclosure that Apple says is more light and durable than the previous enclosure (it weighs 4.7 pounds.). The new laptop is available now for $999.
