MIPS Technologies and iPPea, a technology outfit based in San Clemente, CA USA have collaborated to develop a new Android dongle mini-computer known as the iPPea TV Android 4.0. This latest technology looks like a typical USB device which enables you to transform your HDTV into a Smart TV. You just need to plug the iPPea TV to an HDMI port on your HDTV and after that you can now run Android apps, surf the web, play games, or stream internet video on a big screen.

iPPea TV runs Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, and comes with a a selection of accessories including mini QWERTY keyboard complete with a gyroscopic sensor. Powered by a MIPS-based (not ARM-based chip) XBurst 1.2 Ghz processor with support for 3D graphics acceleration (Open GL ES 1.1 and 1.2),  It also comes with 512 MB of DDR2 RAM and 2 GB of NandFlash internal storage space expandable to 32 GB via a microSDHC, HD 1080p playback support and 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity. iPPea TV Android 4.0 dongle is now available to pre-order for just $50.
