JBL OnBeat Xtreme iOS Docking Station
JBL has released its own iPad dock called OnBeat Extreme (model JBLONBEATXTAM) speaker dock. It features an A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profile support which is fully compatible with iOS devices. No need for cables anymore. The OnBeat Extreme is equipped with dual Atlas bass drivers and Ridge tweeters computer-optimized by DSP equalization (deliver 30W of power) and uses high-quality AAC codec for superior audio streaming. You can use it as a hands-free calling device (make or receive calls) with a built-in microphone with enhanced sound through digital sound processing (DSP) and echo cancellation.
OnBeat Extreme also features a rotating connector, so you can position your iPad, iPhone or iPod in both portrait and landscape orientation. While sitting on the dock, your iOS device can also be charge. The good thing about this dock – you can also control it using OnBeat Xtreme app that’s available on the Apple App Store. The JBL OnBeat Xtreme is available now for $599.00.

This looks like it would be great for an alarm clock. I use my phone to wake me up in the morning but i don’t find the speaker powerful enough, and I can also use it when people come over instead o plugging it into my PC speakers.
a bit pricey though.
Looks curious, and I’d definitely like to have such a thing, but… gosh, it’s really expensive! I’m sure it’s worth its price, but I just don’t have so much spare money for such not too needed things)
