There are lots of portable chargers released last year, but this year expect for a change because we are now about to see water powered gadgets like the PowerTrekk Fuel Cell Charger. MyFC, a fuel cell innovator based in Stockholm, Sweden introduced this gadget. It has an internal battery pack that can be directly charged from the water. This gadget has a competitive advantage against other portable chargers such as solar energy, kinetic energy, etc. because this charger is not affected by weather changes. The technology behind this gadget is it splits water to create hydrogen that goes through the fuel cell to create an electric current. What users need to do is just to insert a fuel pack and add water. Most of the gadgets with USB port can be powered by PowerTrekk. PowerTrekk power specifications: Rated Output is 5V, 1000 mA and Input of 5V, 500 mA. Internal buffer: Li-ion, 1600 mAh and Fuel cell: PEM 4 cell unit 1000 mAh. As of now there are no words on pricing and release date.

HTC, a global leader designer of smartphones has announced their latest android 2.3 Gingerbread Smartphone dubbed as HTC ChaCha. This handset comes with a dedicated Facebook button for quick access to let the user update their status, share pictures and more with one click. The HTC ChaCha is powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and has 2.6” touchscreen display with a dedicated physical QWERTY keyboard. Other core features included are 3.5 MM audio jack, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, VGA front camera,  microUSB port, 512 MB RAM, 512MB ROM, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n and GPS connectivity.  Read more... Nikon has announced its latest addition to their collection of digital camera called Nikon Coolpix S-Series.  The Nikon Coolpix S-Series digital cameras sports a Clear Color LCD technology and can capture High Definition video. HP has announced their all-in-one pc namely TouchSmart PC 610 and 9300 Business Elite. These All-in-one desktop computers have both 23-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution  and can be recline up to 60 degrees. The Touchsmart 9300 is equipped with Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge Processors, 160 GB SSD storage, 2 megapixel camera and facial recognition software. The TouchSmart 610 on the other hand features TouchSmart software which offers finger-friendly Hulu, Netflix and Twitter apps. You can choose from Intel or AMD processor and it will be pumped up with 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB storage, Blu-ray Drive, 1.3 megapixel camera and speaker audio beats. The HP TouchSmart 610 is now available for $ 900, while the TouchSmart 9300 is scheduled to arrive in May 2011.

Scythe has launched its latest CPU cooler dubbed as Mine 2 in Europe. This CPU cooler supports Intel LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA775 as well as AMD(AM3, AM2+, AM2) processors. The Mine 2 has eight copper heat pips for extreme performance in cooling down your processor. If you are planning to overclock your CPU, it’ll not be a problem because it is also equipped with Intake airflows as well as exhale airflows to maximize its performance. The Mine 2 was designed with 2 aluminum tower heatsinks and a Slip Stream 140 (140mm) PWM fan in the middle that operates at 470 to 1900 RPM. You can buy this CPU cooler for 50.50 Euro or about $68.

Sharkoon has announced its latest USB 3.0 device called Flexi-Drive Accelerate Duo. This device comes in both 32GB and 64GB capacities shielded with a dark gray aluminum casing. These super speed USB 3.0 devices have a read and write speed rate of 110 MB/s read and 70 MB/s and uses SLC NAND flash with its optimized memory management to achieve those speeds. The Flexi-Drive Accelerate Duo has a dimension of 72 x 19 x 8 mm (L x W x H), and weighs only 16 g. The 32 GB and 64 GB variants are now available and priced at around €70 and €125, respectively.

Transcend has announced their latest dual-channel DDR3 technology called 8 GB DDR3-2000 aXeRam memory. This kit when purchased includes two identical 4GB memory modules with a clock frequency of 2000MHz and timings of 9-11-9-24. These memory modules are designed for hardcore gamers, 3D animators, HD video editing, overclockers, and other professional users can take the benefits of a 64-bit operating system.. The aXeRam was proven power efficient rated only 1.6 volts and will retails for around $230.

Coby, an electronic company which specializes in low-cost gadgets such as MP3 players has announced their own Android Tablet called Coby Kyros MID7015. The Kyros MID7015 runs Android 2.1 and it’s powered by a TTC8902 processor. It has a 7-inch resistive touch screen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 4GB built-in memory that can be extended up to 32GB, and can record video in Full HD at1080p. Extra features of the Kyros MID7015 are Wi-Fi connectivity, USB 2.0, HDMI output and built-in speaker. This latest android tablet will be available shortly in the US for $250.

LG Optimus 2X is the world’s first Android 2.2 device that uses Tegra-2 dual-core processor, which is expected to be launched this 1^st quarter of 2011. This would also be the hottest and much awaited android handset early this year. The LG Optimus 2X has a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels and can be upgraded its OS to Android 2.3(Gingerbread). Other core features included are 8-megapixel rear camera with single LED flash, 1.3-megapixel front camera, full HD 1080p video recording, 8 GB built-in memory which can be extended to 32 GB with its microSD slot and 512MB of RAM. The LG Optimus 2X is also equipped with micro HDMI, 3.5 mm sockets, micro-USB, two speakers, 1500mAh battery, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and DLNA connectivity.

PFU Fujitsu has announced their latest technology called ScanSnap N1800 network document scanner. This scanner is a must for small or big companies dealing with a lot of documents to serve their clients, etc. The scanner has 8.4-inch XGA touchscreen display to help users operate the scanner easily and comfortably via network. The Fujitsu ScanSnap N1800 document scanner retails at 178,000 Yen ($2,163) and it will be launched by end of this month.
