LG Electronics has announced the launch of their Android-powered smartphone, dubbed as LG Optimus LG GT540,this easy and convenient to use latest handset offers an optimal environment for first-time smartphone users. LG Optimus features 3-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 3-megapixel camera with geotagging function, boasts with A-GPS, supports quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS (900/2100 MHz) connectivity, a 1500 mAh battery, a 3.5mm headset jack, a Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, DivX and Xvid ready, built-in video editor with storyboard function, four customizable home screen themes together with enhanced idle lock screen notifications and can supports up to 32GB of microSD memory card.
It is available in black, white, silver and pink color. LG Optimus LG GT540 Android Smartphone allows automatic synchronization in Google mobile services like Gmail, Gtalk, Google Maps and etc. and it enhanced social networking functions to allow the users to easily access their Facebook, Twitter, Bebo accounts and etc. There is no information yet about the price but it will be first available in UK starting on May 1, 2010.
