No need to worry on where to connect, because the new snom supports Wi-Fi as well as Power over plug (A/C adapter) and Power over Ethernet (PoE). This device has also security-wise features like secure VPN, TLS and SRTP. Important business features include three-party conferencing, polyphonic ringtones, and up to twelve different SIP identities. This device is available now for $349.

This phone is so awesome! 12 different SIP accounts on one device, that’s nuts. Surprisingly, thanks to the web gui of the phone, the configuration is pretty straight forward. The Cisco 525 is about that much, but it doesn’t handle 12 accounts, only 5. Oh yeah, and built in VPN… A+, Snom. I bet Kenny Powers has this VoIP phone on his desk, for sure!
